Jimmy Buffett, born in Pascagoula, Mississippi, and raised in Mobile, Alabama, developed a deep passion for music and storytelling from a young age. Inspired by his grandfather's seafaring tales and his own love for sailing, Buffett embarked on a musical journey while studying journalism at the University of Southern Mississippi.
